Kyiv IT Cluster Took Part In The All-Ukrainian Festival Of Innovations

On May 16, the All-Ukrainian Festival of Innovations took place. For the second year in a row Kyiv IT Cluster has been invited to take part as a partner of the event: our representatives - Igor Arkhypenko, COO and Katerina Degtyar, Expert on startup development - acted as judges in all three of the Festival contests.

This event took place for the fourth consecutive year, and this time it has collected a record number of applications - 250. In total, 75 academic institutions submitted applications for the festival, in particular: 61 universities, 30 scientific institutions and 12 enterprises. Among the finalists – 60 projects in the fields such as energy efficiency, agro-sector, medicine, security, cyber security, green energy, teaching technology and aircraft engineering.

Congratulations to the winners:
  • In the tech startup contest – the CamTouch Company, which has offered a portable device that allows any surface to be converted into an interactive whiteboard, which is much cheaper than existing analogues and is suitable for use at schools and other academic institutions;
  • In the innovative projects contest – the team of scientists from the RE Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, who have developed the technology of identification of leukemic stem cells (LSC) for targeted therapy of oncohematological patients with the aim of increasing the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients;
  • In the IT-Eureka startup contest – the Lingard project from the Business Innovation Center "TECH STARTUPS SCHOOL" of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic", which is a platform for multilingual interactive audiobooks.

And we do not just congratulate the winners, we are giving them an opportunity to visit all the events of the Cluster absolutely for free for the whole year! We are always glad to take a part in activities which are aimed at supporting talented developers and valuable projects.
